For those that love antiques and go to antique flea markets and antique outings, it’s always a quandary as to how you should outfit yourself. Obviously if the venue is outdoors, you should be prepared for all types of weather conditions.
One thing I often don’t see are people using backpacks. This sort of strikes me as rather strange since a backpack, at least a good one, can help you carry things that might otherwise be carried in a hand bag or cart.
I recently wrote an article on Commuter Backpacks, specifically the Mission Workshop Vandal and the Timbuk2 Especial Tres. These backpacks are designed for cyclists who commute to work and to other locations by bike. The cool thing with these backpacks though is they are really multi-functional and can be used for walking around town or carrying items as you find them. The Vandal and the Especial Tres can expand to carry quite a lot of gear – (hint antique finds).
So next time your planning your next Antique Outing, why don’t you consider a commuter backpack as an option.
